A French band with a wildly original sound, The SonarMen distil an explosive musical potion they call “Bluegrass Power Rock.”

Armed with traditional acoustic instruments — banjo, guitar, mandolin, double bass, percussion — and driven by a festive spirit infused with pure rock energy, they deconstruct and reinvent classics from every musical genre, transforming them into entirely new musical creatures.

Expect anything from Michael Jackson to Queen, from Lady Gaga to Creedence, from the Bee Gees to the Rolling Stones…

A space of intuitive piano, free dance and a guided cuddle area… an invitation to soften, listen, rest and express whatever moves through you in the music.

We begin at 6 PM with a 15 minute landing and simple consent practices, helping us connect with ourselves and each other’s boundaries.

The cuddle area is a fully consent-based, non-sexual touch space for gentle, respectful connection, rest and presence. Dave, a somatic parts work coach and authentic relating facilitator, will guide consent practices initially and is available throughout to support safety, clarity and comfort.

Vide Chevalier, creator of Piano for Peace and world roaming musician, teacher, composer & producer, will then play new versions of his own original piano pieces. Meanwhile you are free to dance in one half of the area, and relax and cuddle in the other.

If you wish to join the cuddle space, arriving on time for the consent introduction is essential.

Please no talking or loud noise during the concert (whispers when needed, applause welcome).

Through her original compositions, Devadalucy weaves a deep sonic space where the harp’s vibrations become an inner passage. The Compagnie UmArtio, a French artistic company founded by Lucie Letellier-Bertron, develops immersive concerts and performances blending harp, poetry, movement and circus. About the Band

Sage for the Ages is a poetic jazz ensemble navigating the deep terrains of improvisation, myth, and ecological memory. Their music is both meditation and movement, drawing from contemporary jazz, RnB, and ambient textures.

At the heart of their sound is a delicate tension between structure and spontaneity—crafted by a seasoned group of improvisers and composers:

In the January of 2025, Kara (Turkey) visited Auroville and connected with Mehul (Galactic Falcon) who quickly managed to organise a concert for Kara with the Kalabhumi Music studio team on a weeks notice. During this live performance Kara performed many of his released and unreleased original tracks, one of which sustained quite a resonance for Mehul (despite a language barrier). Soon after Kara left India, Mehul reached out to Kara to remix the song in House Music style.

The song includes shamanic chantings from Altai Mountains and Old Turkic.

Karahan Kadırman, also known as Kara, blends ethnic-electronic, new age, synth-dream-ambient, funk, and electro dance-trance styles in his music. As a composer, songwriter, and vocalist, he also plays alto saxophone, ney, synthesizer, percussion, and computer-based instruments. Kara’s songs merge two worlds through their lyrics and music.

Mehul aka Galactic Falcon, a seasoned drummer recently turned House music Producer and DJ, with a unique sound and strong grooves built into multi-genre styled tracks. He has been catalysing the House and Techno music scene in Pondicherry and Auroville and slowly developing a community of House Music Producers from the Bioregion.

His DJ performances are a journey, moving through different styles such as Groovy Techno, Disco, and House. Inspired by likes of KiNK, Pan-Pot, Four Tet, Josh Wink and many more, Falcon combines their influence with his own signature sound to create a unique and energetic vibe that makes the audience groove. Barely a few months old into Electronic Music production, since the summer of 2024 Falcon has produced above 14 tracks and has been working on remixes for international artists from different genres including Kara (Turkey).

Niloy has been gracing our space for the past three years, and each of his performances is a transcendent experience that touches the soul. His mastery of sound creates a rare and profound connection to beauty, offering something deeply personal and transformative.

The Dhrupad Baithak will be followed by Niloy’s last retreat of the season from March 28-30th, inviting you to explore the full depth of his craft in an intimate setting.

We are truly blessed to be witness to Niloy’s sonic magic, and we invite you to experience it with us.

A Sunlit Path, Auroville, India

A Hindustani vocalist of the Agra gharana, she has trained under Vidushi Aditi Upadhya, Pandit Sudhindra Bhaumik, and Agra gharana stalwart Pandit Dinkar Kaikini. Priya will include in her recital select compositions on the theme of holi.

Post the performance the artist has agreed to engage in a short interactive session. This will be a wonderful opportunity to understand the creative process of a musician on stage.

Priya will be accompanied on the table by Sagar Bharathraj and on the harmonium by Tejas Katoti.
