In the Land of Punctuation is a dance performance created for children and young adults. The production is inspired by the picture book, In the Land of Punctuation, with poetry by Christian Morgenstern and illustration by Rathna Ramanathan, where unique graphic design meets poetic depiction. Punctuations refer to symbols, such as commas, full stops, or question marks, that one uses in a sentence in order to deliver the meaning of the text accurately; indicating a stop, a pause or an intonation, intention or emotion. In the Land of Punctuation foregrounds punctuations as symbols with meaning presented audio-visually.
