Architect of Self Destruction investigates exhaustion and the thresholds of physical and mental endurance. It explores how reaching a point of depletion can open space for transformation. Through movement, the work engages the relationship between body and space, framing destruction not as collapse, but as a necessary process for renewal, personal, social, and structural.
This is a high intensity, emotionally charged work combining physical endurance, risk, and spatial transformation.
The project has been performed internationally with local casts, adapting to diverse cultural and spatial contexts. It has been presented at festivals including NunArt in Barcelona, toured across India with the PECDA Award, and most recently across Estonia in Tallinn, Pärnu, Tartu, and Narva in 2025.

Residency Program at Taoxichuan Art Center Creative Studio in collaboration with Auro Artworld

Auro Artworld is thrilled to announce an exciting new collaboration with the Taoxichuan Art Center International Studio in Jingdezhen, China. This represents a dynamic fusion of cultures and artistic disciplines, creating a platform for global artists to engage with the rich heritage offered by the world-renowned porcelain capital.

About the program

The program is open to domestic and international artists (including, but not limited to, pottery, glass, and wood carving) who wish to explore the traditions and techniques of Jingdezhen’s outstanding ceramic art and experience the deep ceramic cultural heritage of the birthplace of porcelain. In return, artists will share their own regional traditions and techniques, creating a vibrant dialogue of artistry and innovation.

Residencies will be hosted at the Taoxichuan Art Center International Studio, offering artists access to state-of-the-art facilities and an inspiring environment to develop their work. Each residency period will last no less than 8 weeks, with schedules planned annually from 2024 to 2026.

Benefits for artists

Artists selected for this residency program will enjoy:

Reimbursement for travel to Jingdezhen (economy airfare or second-class train tickets).
A creative subsidy of up to 6,000 RMB for materials and production.
Accommodation and studio space.
Access to professional craftsmanship services, including 3D printing and specialized techniques.

In addition, resident artists will host public lectures or art salons, sharing their creative processes and experiences with the community. The artist should leave 3 pieces/groups of works to Taoxichuan at the end of the residence.

Galactic Falcon

Not your mainstream music, or artist… Galactic Falcon is a seasoned drummer recently turned electronic music producer and DJ, with a unique sound and strong grooves built into multi-genre styled tracks. The drummer is also a part of a Blues-Funk band called Deep Dawn and has been catalysing the House and Techno music scene around Pondicherry and Auroville.
His DJ sets are like a journey, moving through different styles such as Groovy Techno and House. Inspired by likes KiNK, Pan-Pot, Four Tet, Josh Wink and many more, Falcon combines their influence with his own signature sound to create a unique and energetic vibe that connects with the audience.
Absolutely new to Electronic Music production, since the summer of 2024 Falcon has released two EPs that blend the sounds of Progressive, Techno and Trance. He’s been collaborating with international artists such as Kara (Turkey) and Soulti (Australia) creating remixes/reinterpretations of their original tracks. While a large part of his DJ sets are not planned, he intends to develop live acts over time that are completely improvised on stage.

The Exhibition
Art for Land, along with the Unity Pavilion and Acres for Auroville, invites you to its new exhibition “The Inner Awakening and the Outer Expression”, inspired by Sri Aurobindo’s Four Austerities: Love, Knowledge, Power, and Beauty- and his Fifth Dream of a spiritualised society and the unification of humanity. The exhibition presents the work of Indian and international artists from the Ashram and Auroville, alongside the fine craftsmanship of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram’s Embroidery Department and Auroville’s textile units Hibiscus Heroes and To Be Two. Together, these creative voices express how inner aspiration becomes outer form—colour, texture, and movement that reflect a shared journey toward truth, beauty, and unity.

On view at the Unity Pavilion from 10 August to 31 October 2025, the exhibition is open Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Since 1987, the City of Carouge (Geneva, Switzerland) has organised a contemporary ceramics competition every two years, focusing on the creation of works based on a set theme. Over the years, this competition has become an important meeting place for an ever-growing number of artists from all over the world.

Applications are now open for the 2026 International Ceramics Competition. The works selected will be exhibited in the Musée de Carouge from 19 September to 29 November 2026. Applications are due December 31, 2025.

Now Open: “Inner Awakening & Outer Expression” Art Exhibition in Auroville

We invite you to visit “Inner Awakening & Outer Expression,” an Art for Land 2025 exhibition celebrating Handcrafted Expressions in Textile, Art & Sculpture. This artistic offering is presented in honour of Sri Aurobindo’s birthday.

The exhibition opened on August 10th with a vibrant inauguration featuring live demonstrations and a series of cultural events. It is now open to the public until September 7th.

About the Exhibition Inspired by Sri Aurobindo’s Four Austerities (Knowledge, Love, Power, and Beauty) and the vision of his Fifth Dream, this exhibition brings together powerful and original creations. Each artist’s inner Tapasya (spiritual practice) finds expression, reflecting a journey where inner discipline becomes a source of artistic expression in the outer world. The exhibition invites viewers to witness how silence, practice, and aspiration are transformed into colour, form, and texture.

And artists: Adil Writer, Anna Morozova, Crystal Michielsen, Dilip Patel, Kratu, Lara, Marie Claire Barsotti, Marlenka Gray, Paulette Hadnagy, Pierre Le Grand, Sunanda Patel, and Veronik Menanteau.
