Dr. E.R.Gopalakrishnan ( ‘ERG’ ) is a former Director, KYM Institute of Yoga, Chennai. He has been teaching Yoga,Vedic Chanting and allied subjects in the true spirit of Krishnamacharya Tradition ( Vinyasa/Viniyoga) for over three decades.

He has had his training in the Art of Vedic Chanting under the personal guidance of Sri.T.K.V.Desikachar and Dr.Usha Raghavan and has been teaching Veda Mantras to all irrespective of race, caste, creed, gender, religion.

ERG holds Masters in Sanskrit, Indian Philosophy and Commerce. He was awarded Ph.D., by the University of Madras for his thesis titled ” Stress Management – A study on the Professionals in the city of Chennai ( based on the conceptual framework of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra)
