Auroville International USA (AVI USA) is very excited to share with you the new online home of AVI USA! And we are profoundly grateful for the many hours of loving care given by Govinda of Sri Aurobindo Sadhana Peetham, who took our ideas and translated them into a beautiful, user-friendly website. Some features that we hope you enjoy are the News section, which will be kept updated with fresh news and online events from Auroville, and the About Auroville section, which shares the wide range of innovative projects that have been born in the City of Dawn. Please take a look, stay tuned, and send us your feedback. Africa Pavilion Looks Toward The Future
Auroville honors the diverse beauty manifested by the cultures of the world. African Pavilion is a space to manifest the spirit and true genius of Africa through collective learning, creative projects and cultural exchanges. It symbolizes the spiritual realization of an actual “United States of Africa” – a call to the present & future African generations from allover to make a bold and quick move towards unification.

During the past year of contraction and limitation, the African Pavilion team has taken the opportunity of less outward work to build their foundation for the future. They have been engaged in team building and visioning, connecting to a global audience through a new website and Facebook page, and developing their revenue streams to increase financial sustainability.

Habari Guest House is a new on-campus duplex dormitory which sleeps 14 guests and doubles as an event space. And Taste of Africa is an on-campus vegan cafe serving the only African food in the surrounding 3 states. Their future plans include hosting theatrical performances, cinema nights, visitor tours, children’s programs, art exhibitions, hair care services, festivals, marketplaces, botanical studies, and fashion shows. Visit the Africa Pavilion Website

Our Cashew Story – A Fascinating Film
In a world where we are increasingly disconnected from our food, this short film (42 minutes) titled “Our Cashew Story” explores the cashew industry – the growing, harvesting and processing of cashews, the seasonal pesticide spraying and its environmental and health effects, and the alternatives to pesticides using Auroville and its bio region in India as a case study.
