A graduate in Mathematics and an alumnus of Film and Television Institute of Tamilnadu (MFA – Film Direction), Mr. Sivakumar is a Film maker and a Film teacher for more than 20 years. He has worked in many different capacities in the field of film – in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and in the ad world. He is also the founder of the production house “First Dream – in Dreams to Realities.” Some of his works are:

  • Co-Director – Hindi film “Armaan” (2003) starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor & Preity Zinta (directed by Honey Irani)

  • Associate Director – Tamil film “Jaggubhai” (2010) starring Rajnikanth and Shriya Saran (directed by K.S. Ravikumar)

  • Associate Director – Tamil film “Dasavatharam” (2008) starring Kamal Haasan (directed by K.S. Ravikumar)

  • Associate Director – Tamil film “Aalavandhan” (2001) starring Kamal Haasan (directed by Suresh Krissna)

As an Independent Director – a Tamil short film “Archaic.” He was the Director and writer of the Tamil film “Newtonin Moondram Vidhi” (2009). He has written a film script in English titled “99 Dreams” and has also produced and directed TV commercials, short films, and telefilms in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu. His knowledge in film, combined with his teaching experience, is immense. He has trained more than 300 aspiring film makers and is well respected in the Tamil film industry. He has also been visiting many colleges in Tamilnadu for workshops and has been a guest lecturer in many film institutes.
