March Dance 2019 I Invitation to Workshops
An open call for two workshops from 4th to 15th March at March Dance 2019, in Chennai.
Organised by Basement 21, Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan Chennai & Pro Helvetia New Delhi.
Workshop By Ana Huber
Ana Huber from Switzerland, critically acclaimed as a performer and soloist, visits the architecture of the body in a workshop, while taking the viewer through a reconstruction of a solo as a way to begin with nothing and allow the body to reveal its meaning.
Workshop By Maarten Visser & Pravin Kannanur
Musician Maarten Visser and theatre/visual artist Pravin Kannanur lead a workshop on modes of listening and responding between practitioners of different arts that culminates in a site-specific sharing of their experience.
Workshop Details
Each workshop will be 3 hours a day between 4th and 15th March (9th & 10th off). The schedule and venue allow interested participants to attend both workshops should they wish to. Travel and stay are to be organised by the participants. Once registered, the organisers could suggest options for accommodation nearby.
Participants
Dancers, theatre practitioners, musicians, performers and practitioners interested in movement and visual languages are welcome to apply! Please write to us before February 20 with a CV, and a short note on 1) what you look for in a workshop, 2) your interest and area of practice.
