MAP, as with the rest of the country, is celebrating young people today – their rights and opinions – and the need to give them agency. What better way to do this in a museum than to have them take over it?
MAP had over thirty teenagers take over the MAP collection and let them discover the stories therein in a programme called Teen Takeover@MAP in collaboration with Kolkata based organisation Think Arts.
The result? An online exhibition connecting their observations with ruminations on what makes art socially relevant and how one engages with it. An exhibition that seeks to remind us that art can be inspiring, provoking and transformational – now, more than ever. Welcome to See, Think, Wonder. We hope it resonates with you.
