first_full_moon_848The First Full Moon Festival

We are happy to invite you to a North-Eastern Asian cultural event.  Traditionally, the first full moon of the lunar calendar is celebrated as the start of the agricultural year. This year it falls on the 22nd of February, and the zodiac symbol is the Red Monkey. However the event will be held on the 21st, a Sunday.

There will be several different activities and art performances throughout the festival, all of which are traditional. There will be a fundraising dinner which requires pre-booking.

We organized this event as the first step towards creating a North-East Asian Centre (NEAC) in the International Zone.

Organized collectively by the Chinese, Japanese and Korean people of Auroville.

Please refer to the poster for all event details.
