The Franco Indian Education Trust is inviting applications for the second edition of Amba Dalmia scholarship program for the academic year 2019-2020.
The scholarship is designed for Indian women applicants who wish to pursue a short term or long term programme in the field of Music, Sports, Theatre, Cinema, Gastronomy, Arts, Sculpture, Ballet, Painting and Photography in France.
The awardees will be provided a monthly allowance to cover living expenses; visa and campus France fee waiver. The allowance will vary according to the duration and type of the programme of study (short term, long term, training, internship etc.) and city/region in France. The scholarship does not cover any other expenses such as flight tickets, accommodation, insurance and travel related costs.

The scholarship is named after late Amba Dalmia, daughter of Dr. Gun Nidhi Dalmia of Dalmia-Jain group. The Amba Dalmia scholarship programme was established by Dr Gun Dalmia in the beginning of 2018. He has always been motivated to do something for young Indian girls and thus contributed a big financial support to establish the scholarship to encourage the young students to attend reputable and distinguished institutions in France. 4 candidates benefitted from the scholarship program in the year 2018. They are currently pursuing higher studies in acting, hospitality and gastronomy and are enrolled in the following French institutions: France École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie, Institut Paul Bocuse, École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq and École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle.
