The play depicts the journey of a story along a chain of storytellers and spirits spanning places, cultures and languages. From the hollow ruins of post-war Europe to the remote villages of India and the war-torn shores of Sri Lanka, we learn of a simple tale of hope and redemption.
When a pair of folk theatre artists from the vibrant Northern part of Karnataka stumble upon a puppet made of bread, they begin to travel through the obscurity of the past and encounter an incredible story; a story of theatre in a time of war, hunger and deprivation.
Tales of the victims of violent conflicts in the current age are woven together, culminating in the abandonment of anger and revenge in a ritual celebration of forgiveness and absolution.
