We invite artists from diverse genres to participate in our upcoming exhibition, ‘Madras As an Emotion’. This unique showcase aims to capture the essence of Madras (Chennai) through artistic expressions, exploring the city’s vibrant culture, rich history, and emotive connections.
Theme:
‘Madras As an Emotion’ is an invitation to artists to interpret and represent their personal experiences, emotions, and associations with the city. We encourage you to draw inspiration from Madras’s streets, architecture, people, food, music, or any aspect that resonates with you.
Art Forms:
We welcome submissions in various art forms, including:
– Visual Arts (painting, photography, printmaking, etc.)
– Performing Arts (music, dance, performance)
– Literary Arts (poetry, short stories)
– Digital Arts (AI, AR, graphic design, animation, video art.)
– Ceramics (sculpture, instillation)
– Sculpture ( all mediums)
Submission Guidelines:
– Send your artwork details images, videos, or written work to madrasartweekend@gmail.com
– Include a brief artist statement (150 words max) explaining your work’s connection to the theme.
– Ensure your artwork is original and hasn’t been shown before.
