The Writing on Dance Laboratory returns with the Attakkalari India Biennial 2017!
This 10-day Lab is a collaborative workspace designed to facilitate critical articulations around contemporary dance.
Participants are expected to work as an editorial team and create content for Attakkalari’s online magazine www.ligament.in on a daily basis. In addition to viewing performances, participants will meet international and local performers, choreographers, and other collaborators at the Biennial. Experts from various artistic disciplines will also lead sessions on a range of topics to help participants discover new ways of thinking about contemporary dance.
We invite writers with some experience in arts writing to apply for the Lab. Selected candidates will receive a per diem allowance and access to all festival events. Accommodation and travel costs to Bangalore must be borne by participants. (Applicants who live outside Bangalore may apply for accommodation assistance.)
Participants will also be expected to bring their own laptops for the duration of the programme.
