Film Workshop: Myths, Mind and Meaning

First time ever, a film school is having an akhada (a camp) in Maha Kumbh, the world’s largest congregation of seekers and seers! Auroville Film Institute is hosting a month-long filmmakers’ camp, facilitating filmmakers to make their films. Mentor Kamal Swaroop will guide to unravel the myth of Kumbh (the pot) Mela (the Crowd / Sea of People) and Manathan (the churning) to extract Amrit (the sweet nectar) The most exciting factor of this workshop is to craft films out of the ‘the creative interpretations of actualities’ that are embodied in signs, symbols and stories of the Maha Kumbh myths.
