The great Malayalam writer Vaikom Muhammad Basheer was essentially a rebel. His everyday characters used a colloquial slang that was new in Malayalam, and he even invented his own words that have since come into popular usage. We had fun with his ‘swear’ words, even inventing a few of our own. 🙂
