Kattaikkuttu Sangam has an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about Kattaikkuttu, a traditional Tamil theatre form. Learn more at www.kattaikkuttu.org.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and document a first-of-its-kind residential 10-month Kattaikkuttu Diploma Course (October 25 to July 26).

• Write detailed chronicles of the training process, highlighting key moments and challenges.

• Translate between Tamil and English.

• Assist with the inventory and documentation of existing materials.

• Contribute to the creation of an online, multimedia Kattaikkuttu archive documenting its complex knowledge and social context.

Who we are looking for

No formal degree is required; however, strong language and writing skills are essential. We seek a perceptive observer who can work collaboratively, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.

What we offer

The Sangam is situated on a 7-acre campus in Punarasantankal Village, 8 km outside Kanchipuram Town.
This is a temporary, on-site position offering accommodation and meals, with a monthly salary of Rs. 25,000 and six working days per week.
