Description: A travelogue unfolding through anecdotes, analyses, rememberings, rumours, documents, and dreams.

Context:

The work explores bodies of dancers across the Kaveri delta in peninsular India and Central Java in Indonesia.

Composed as 24 “time-pieces” in confidence for W.G. Sebald (1944-2001), revisiting themes of memories, histories, biographies, fictions, and photographs.

This is one installment in the long-term research project ‘Epistolary Ancestries’, a corpus of ten open letters addressed to adopted ancestors.
