Adil Writer will exhibit his work at Art Bengaluru from 19 to 28 August.
Adil Writer is a ceramic artist, painter and architect from Mumbai, currently living and working in Auroville, where he is a partner at Mandala Pottery which produces functional tableware, assorted ceramic items, and architectural ceramic murals & installations. From his studio at Mandala, he creates his own line of studio pottery. “Books made of any medium have an incredible connect with persons interacting with them. In 2011, I started making books out of clay at a three-month residency in Shigaraki, Japan…I have exhibited several books at solo shows, both titled ‘Secrets & Lies’ in Japan and Mumbai. Now here for Art Bengaluru, I have made ceramic books that may last millenia!…”
