Where does the dance start?
How does it exist in the space, in the physical body, the mental body, or the energetic body?

The physical body is fluid and moving at all times, even the most dense parts.

“The idea that a question can be the definition of a movement form is sophisticated. The dominant association—triggered by the word form—is perhaps the idea of the shape of a physical object. In the case of Contact Improvisation, however, the word form refers to a synaptic architecture, a readiness to receive a particular band of real-time information. What is commonly referred to as “the duet form” has no knowable outer form.”

Butoh is an experimental form that interacts with Movement, Theater, and Performance art by finding in-between spaces for embodiment within darkness and light.

The process of immersion with Butoh works with non-duality in questioning a search of identity, the influence of controversial social criticism, and the art of ceremony as a ritual in understanding body-mind coherence as a psychosomatic possibility of an experience.
