We are happy to announce that an Auroville-based artist, Atomic Phantom (track #5) — a Japanese musician who has lived in Auroville/Tamil Nadu for the past 20 years, and who is also a visual artist and founder of the label Nādāsana — is featured on an ambient/soundscape/experimental compilation album titled “Disappearing Sounds” released by the Berlin/Chicago–based label Winter Echoes (@winterechoes).
100% of the profits will go to the Sameer Project to help provide basic necessities for people in Palestine.
Among 56 global artists, the Chennai-based duo The Öbjektz (track #12) — consisting of Ajay Aj and Babu Bharathidasan — is also part of the compilation. They are members of Omni Void Labs, a collective that plays a prominent role in the city’s electronic and experimental art scene.
