Open Call – The Puppet Folk Arts Lab

Summary: The Serendipity Arts Festival and UNIMA Puppeteers Trust – India are hosting a two-week intensive lab for traditional puppeteers. This is an opportunity for puppeteers under 40 to engage in hands-on learning, experiment with their practice, and collaborate with peers. All participant expenses will be covered, and a stipend will be provided. Following the lab, four projects will be selected to receive production grants to create new performances for the 10th Edition Serendipity Arts Festival.

Eligibility: Open to traditional puppeteers under the age of 40.

Benefits for Participants:

All expenses covered: This includes travel, food, and accommodation.
Stipend: A stipend will be provided to all participants.
Showcase Opportunity: 4 final projects will receive production grants from Serendipity Arts to create new performances.
Festival Presentation: The grant-winning performances will be presented at the Serendipity Arts Festival in December 2025.
