Rhizome Café is an independent online study collective in existence since May 2024, consisting of graduate and postgraduate students in various disciplines in the arts and the sciences, budding researchers, and general philosophy enthusiasts alike, passionate to engage in study and discussions of the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, the key philosophers in the French post-structuralist intellectual climate of the early 21st Century.

We largely indulge in reading sessions and discussions around the key philosophical texts of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. We have previously completed reading the text of Nietzsche and Philosophy by Gilles Deleuze, organized an invited talk on Deleuze and Guattari from an eminent researcher on Deleuze, and we have involved ourselves in general discussions around the philosophy of Deleuze and Guattari since the inception of the community in 2024.

This flagship session is a part of a year-long series of community events we have planned for 2025, and considering the importance of Difference and Repetition by Gilles Deleuze which lays the foundation for many of his future works and collaboration with Félix Guattari in Anti-oedipus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia and A Thousand Plateaus, we have decided to read the text until the first half of this year.

The Google Meet link will be shared prior to the session on the event day through the point of contact(s) you provided in the form.

Those who have already registered for the first few sessions will receive the mail today (Feb 15, 2025), a couple of hours before the session. Please follow the instructions in the mail as mentioned.

The event will happen from 08:00 PM IST onwards.

If you are new and want to participate in the session, please mail us at rhizomecafee@gmail.com
