A Clarification
Auroville City Conversations is the online forum of A Body for the Soul / The City the Earth Needs exhibition housed at the Unity Pavilion – a platform for exploration and dialogue to bring awareness about the Galaxy Plan. This is missing in Auroville’s culture and education today and often leads to misconceptions, delays and blockages.
A ‘controversy’ encountered frequently is about the alleged incompatibility between the Galaxy Plan and the Master Plan. It is therefore interesting to learn that the Galaxy was the basis of the first master plan prepared in consultation with the Mother in 1969, and will be for successive master plans where further elaborations, guidelines and new layers are added or adjusted as needed.
