IFA invites applications for Generating Practice-based Perspectives: Working with Carnatic Music, a three-day online workshop (on Zoom) for Carnatic music practitioners conducted by Lakshmi Subramanian and Sumitra Ranganathan
The workshop will be in English. It is free and there is no fee for participation. Over several interactive sessions, practitioners of Carnatic music are invited to share their ideas and experiences, and engage with theory, tradition, innovation, authenticity and experimentation.
There are a maximum of 20 seats available. Participants will be selected based on their applications.
Eligibility: You must be a practicing Carnatic musician – vocalist or instrumentalist – in the age group of 25-45 years, preferably with 8 – 10 years of performing/ teaching experience.
