Sri Aurobindo and the Mother assign a highest status to an art which serves as revealer and teacher of a quest for the All-Beautiful.

The Auroville Art Camp 2021 will take place at the Pavilion of Tibetan Culture.

The theme of the second edition of Auroville Art Camp, inspired by several passages of Savitri the epic poem of Sri Aurobindo, is the “City of Dawn”.

This year, we welcome 20 participants from all over India and Auroville from Saturday, March 20th to Saturday, March 27th, 2021.

The art camp focusses on the collaboration of Indian national artists with Aurovilians artists, working on a specific theme during one week. One of our intentions is to create a bridge between Aurovilian artists and Indian nationals artists. Art Students are also invited to participate as this is a great platform for exchange and learning.

On the 20th, the art camp will open with a talk by Deepti, at the Pavilion of Tibetan Culture. See the detailed programme, open to the public, below.

On the 27th, the Art Camp will end with an exhibition at Centre d’Art (Citadines) where you will be able to discover the participants’ artwork created during the week. The theme of this year’s edition is: “The City of Dawn”.

For those who wish to see the artists at work, we have planned 3 open doors in the afternoons during the week.
