Nele Martens will exhibit her work at Art Bengaluru from 19 to 28 August.
Born in Munich, Germany, Nele Martens trained in sculpture with Florian Lechner (Germany), Marcello Fantoni and Salvatore Cipolla (Italy). She then studied in Instituto d’Arte di Firenze in Florence, Italy. 20 years ago Nele permanently settled in Auroville. Nele works with different materials (ceramic, canvas, Plexiglas, wood, metal), on the themes of light, movement, transparency, inner and outer space. These ideas led to research on kinetic sculptures and light installations.
