Pongal-o-Pongal

Join us at A Sunlit Path on January 14, 2025, from 2-7 PM as we celebrate Pongal, a traditional Tamil harvest festival to give thanks to nature, especially the Sun, for providing energy for agriculture and ensuring a bountiful harvest.

Thai Pongal is the main day of the festival, where people cook the special dish called Pongal using freshly harvested rice, jaggery, and milk. It is offered to the Sun God as a token of gratitude.

As the rice and milk boils and overflows, let’s joyfully chant “Pongal-o-Pongal”, symbolizing prosperity and abundance. Come enjoy traditional foods, fun games and a joyous community gathering.
