Since the year 2015 is slowly edging towards the holiday season, we are delighted to let you to know that we open-heartedly invite you, your friends and family for an enjoyable and relaxing retreat at our community space.
As you know, Pondicherry is one of the choicest holiday destinations; you may hear of several plans to visit Pondicherry brewing around you. Besides visiting the quaint cafes and walking along the sea at the Promenade in Pondicherry town, travellers and weekenders are most welcome to live at the Adishakticommunity space that is merely 8 kms away from town.
We would love it if you could suggest to your people that including Adishakti in their Pondicherry holiday itinerary is an excellent idea, an opportunity to spend quality time our unique artist community, a space that is perfect for a peaceful and stimulating retreat.
Adishakti is situated very close to the intriguing Auroville International Township, home to a number of interesting spaces to visit. Visitors could experiment with surfing lessons at the Kallialay Surf School of India or learn horse-riding at the much-acclaimed Red Earth Riding School. There are several unique community enterprises built with the sole idea of sustaining and liberating local communities like Swaram- a musical instruments and research centre, Auroville Bamboo Centre- a bamboo products workshop and research centre, The Colours of Nature- Indigo factory and similar eco-conscious centres that may fascinate visitors.
We are in collaboration with The Blue Yonder, an initiative that designs responsible travel tours using storytelling to reveal truth about traditional spaces providing interested travellers with meaningful encounters and experiences. Or, they could even just leisurely cycle along the lush green forests paths in and around Adishakti.
While at Adishakti guests can also make spiritual and cultural day trips to Chidambaram, Pitchavaram, Mahabalipuram, the Gingee Fortress and Vailankani.
We also have exciting programmes planned at our Theatre on campus and we hope to share it with as many people as possible and build on our dream of inclusive cultural experiences and practices.
