I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 1984, and my creative journey began in the warm, inspiring atmosphere of my grandparents home. My grandfather, a passionate self-taught artist, spent his free time painting vibrant oil landscapes and crafting unique interior pieces from natural, upcycled materials. With my grandmother’s unwavering support, he expressed his creativity through painting, sculpture, and woodworking — turning everyday objects into something meaningful and beautiful.
Surrounded by this spirit of artistry and craftsmanship, I found myself drawn to the world of visual expression from a very young age. I still remember the calming scent of my grandfather’s workshop and the peaceful joy of trying to replicate animals and nature in my early drawings. That sense of wonder and connection never left me.
Guided by this passion, I pursued my formal education at the Kyiv National University of Architecture and Arts, where I graduated in 2008 with a Master of Arts degree. Today, I carry forward the legacy of creativity, imagination, and dedication that began with my grandparents, channeling it into every piece I create.
My artistic path deepened during my university years — a period I consider my “universal chapter” of personal expansion and discovery. In 2005, I began working as an art therapist, using visual art to help individuals explore emotion, memory, and healing. This experience showed me how art could connect on deep, human levels.
At the same time, I was actively involved in creating large-scale decorative installations for music festivals. These projects blended my love of color, movement, and immersive storytelling, while introducing me to the power of art in public and communal spaces.
From 2010 to 2013, I participated in an international exhibition in Odesa, Ukraine, presenting works created with silk batik — a medium I loved for its softness, transparency, and meditative quality. In 2011, I held my first personal exhibition based on a story my grandmother had told me in childhood. This deeply personal body of work, painted entirely on silk using batik techniques, explored heritage, emotion, and imagination.
After moving to India, I transitioned from silk and watercolor to working with acrylic paints. This marked a new chapter in my artistic evolution, allowing me to work with greater freedom, intensity, and depth. My first acrylic series — a collection dedicated to Baby Krishna — became the beginning of many new works inspired by Indian culture and color. Acrylics soon became my main medium.
One thread has remained constant throughout my journey: my love for working on a large scale. Mural art, in particular, has become my most expressive and fulfilling form. In India, I’ve completed numerous mural projects for both private and public spaces — including temples, cafés, bakeries, guesthouses, a swimming pool, and a flower garden. These projects allow me to interact with space and community, transforming walls into visual stories and shared experiences.
Today, my work continues to grow — shaped by memory, migration, connection, and curiosity. Whether I’m working with silk, canvas, or walls, my intention is to offer something meaningful and emotionally resonant. Art, for me, is not just a way of seeing — it’s a way of living. Through color, form, and story, I aim to bring beauty, reflection, and warmth into the spaces we inhabit and share.
